Mrs Karen Boggis (Owner)
Qualifications:
Diploma in Pre-School Practice
Experience:
- 18 years in nursery and childcare education, of which the last 11 years have been spent managing and running an independent childcare business.
- Implementing and training staff in delivering the Foundation Stage curriculum.
- Successfully completing OFSTED inspections, Quality Assurance and Self Evaluation schemes.
- Working together in an excellent partnership with the staff and governors of Whitehill Infant School.
- Working with the East Sussex Education department and other local schools to co-ordinate Early Years Education and Transition.
- Attending CfBT cluster group meetings.
- Liasing with other agencies in the community such as health professionals, local businesses and emergency services.
Staff
The Nursery employs 14 members of staff, 12 of whom are qualified to level 3 NVQ or equivalent in childcare and education.
Staff training is of high importance and all staff regularly attend courses to update their knowledge and good practices.
